Getting Ready for Fall!

Hey friends!! The 09-10 school year has come to an end and there are quite a few ExSci-ers graduating in the June 26th Commencement. They will surely be missed, but the new Executive Board has met today and we are REALLY excited for the coming Fall semester. We are looking forward to doing more volunteer work and also expanding our reach in the professional realm. Hope you are all having a wonderfully fit and healthy summer!! See you soon!!

Hello!!
This semester is shaping up to be a very exciting one for the ExSci-ers!
Our next meeting will be February 2nd at 6:20pm in the biomechanics lab, after that we will be going bowling at Holiday Lanes for our first Social of the semester!
Also there are 11 of us going to the State ACSM Conference at Treetops Resort in Gaylord on February 4-5! We are all very excited to go and are really looking forward to networking with other Exercise Science Majors and Professionals.
We have lots of Philanthropic Events planned for this semester as well:
Helping lead exercise at the Cancer Center
Special Olympics
Relay for Life
and Jump Rope for Heart are just a few of the things we plan to do to give back to the Community!

Spring...Winter? 2010

Welcome back everyone!! We are having our first meeting Tuesday January 19th in the Biomechanics Lab Room of the Rec! I know you are all so excited as are we!! This semester is looking really promising for many events and volunteer opportunities! Can't wait to see you all there!!!

Miss Us?

Well it's been a long time since our last update. Here's is what we've been up to.
We began a fundraiser in cooperation with Fazoli's Restaurant and raised some money for our group! This money will be used to send students to ACSM Conferences and to bring in Speakers to our group to further our professional development.
We also volunteered at Western's Turkey Trot leading Warm-up and Cool-down exercises. We also brought in cans to donate to the Loaves and Fishes organization. Our exercises were a hit and really benefited The Girls on the Run and Girls on Track groups! It was also a lot of fun!!
Recently we had a social event as well. There are a lot of pictures of the silliness, but perhaps not suited for this site :0
Next on our list is our end of the semester party!
The e-board is very proud of our group and all our members that made this semester a success! We are all looking forward to finals being over and beginning next semester with a lot of recruiting and more philanthropic events!

Updates

Well Homecoming was a blast! We collect 113 items to donate to Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes! Nice job everyone!
Next up on the agenda...Meeting Tuesday, Oct 27th at 9pm in the Rec.
Social event Thursday, Oct 29th: PHOBIA HOUSE!!! 11:30pm...the later the scarier it is!

Homecoming!!

Hey everyone!! We are officially participating in Western's Homecoming Activities! We are a real live spirited RSO now! Yippee!!!

Cancer Center!!

We will be meeting this Friday, Oct. 9th at 5pm in the Biomechanics room of the SRC. We will meet up here before traveling over to the Cancer Center for orientation.
Remember, our next meeting is Tuesday, Oct. 13th at 9pm in the Rec.
Also, don't forget to register for MWACSM Conference!! Let Amy know asap!!
